I believe the guidelines around this development - and the renewable industry as a broad group - are extensive and will ensure Aboriginal sites, native plants and animals and water sources are not negatively impacted. There will be a visual impact on the Hay Plains but I believe if we do not fast track renewable energy at scale, climate change, drought and bush fires will pose a greater risk to our way of life and the natural environment. I welcome the boost this development will give the region, in terms of employment and an injection of non-ag based economic benefit. This development has my support as someone who lives and works in the Hay community, rather than a lobbying group making noise from afar. |

Supporting new renewable energy projects is the only way we are able to effectively and positively transition our electricity grid and power a new age of sustainable manufacturing, I will always support this project because there is no biodiversity on a dead planet. The biodiversity loss to open cut coal mines, exporting of coal and gas and the exploration of gas is far worse than the presence of wind turbines. As is the visual impacts, as is the health side effects. This project must go ahead and I proudly support it |
