Spicers Creek Wind Farm Approved Subject to Conditions
The NSW Independent Planning Commission has today approved the Spicers Creek Wind Farm (SSD-41134610) located in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ) approximately 25 km north-west of Gulgong and 35 km north-east of Wellington, within the Dubbo Regional and Warrumbungle Shire local government areas (LGAs).
Public Meeting on Stone Ridge Quarry Project
The community will be able to have their say in a public meeting on a proposal by the Australian Resource Development Group Pty Limited to develop the Stone Ridge Quarry Project. The proposed quarry would extract up to 1.5 million tonnes per annum of hard rock from a State Forest site at Italia Road, Balickera and operate for 30 years.

The NSW Independent Planning Commission has today approved the Middlebrook Solar Farm (SSD-10455) located approximately 22 km south of Tamworth, within the Tamworth Regional local government area.
Public Meeting on Crows Nest Mixed Use Development with in-fill affordable housing
The community will be able to have their say in a public meeting on a proposal by Deicorp Construction Pty Ltd for a mixed use development with in-fill affordable housing at Five Ways, Crows Nest (SSD-66826207). The proposed 22 storey development comprises a 3-storey podium of commercial premises, a 19-storey residential tower with 188 apartments (including 48 designated as affordable housing) and seven basement levels. It is located at 391-423 Pacific Highway, 3-15 Falcon Street and 8 Alexander Street, Crows Nest.

The NSW Independent Planning Commission has today approved, subject to conditions, the Sancrox Quarry Expansion (SSD-7293) located 8 kilometres west of Port Macquarie within the Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Government Area.
Dee Why Mixed Use Development approved subject to conditions
The NSW Independent Planning Commission has today approved, subject to conditions, the Dee Why Mixed Use Development (SSD-68230714), located at 4 Delmar Parade and 812 Pittwater Road, Dee Why within the Northern Beaches Local Government Area. This State significant development will provide a total of 280 apartments, including 43 affordable housing units and 4 commercial tenancies.
Mixed use development including affordable housing at Crows Nest approved subject to conditions
The NSW Independent Planning Commission has today approved a 22-storey mixed use development with affordable housing in Crows Nest (SSD-66826207). The site, located at Five Ways in Crows Nest (bounded by the Pacific Highway, Falcon and Alexander Streets) is within the North Sydney local government area and North Sydney Council had objected to the proposed development.
Public meeting cancelled on Five Ways Crows Nest mixed use development including in fill affordable housing
The Independent Planning Commission Panel appointed to determine the State Significant Development application for the proposed Five Ways Crows Nest mixed use development including in fill affordable housing (SSD-66826207) advises that the public meeting scheduled for Thursday 12 December 2024 at 135 King St, Sydney, 2000 will not go ahead due to a low number of speaker registrations, with only one member of the public registering to speak.
Public Meeting on Muswellbrook Solar Farm
The community will be able to have their say at a public meeting on 12 February 2025 on a proposal by ESCO Solar Farm 9 Pty Ltd to develop the Muswellbrook Solar Farm, a 135 megawatt (MW) solar farm with a battery storage facility and associated infrastructure. The Muswellbrook Solar Farm (SSD-46543209) is proposed to be located approximately 2.5 kilometres (km) east of Muswellbrook, accessed from Muscle Creek Road within the Muswellbrook Shire Council local government area and Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone.
