IPC awaiting heritage information for proposed Glendell project

The Independent Planning Commission is waiting for additional information in relation to the Glendell Continued Operations Project (SSD 9349).

 

On 6 April the Commission Panel sought additional information from the Department of Planning and Environment about the anticipated impacts of the proposed project on Aboriginal and European heritage.

 

Asking for additional information is common in the deliberation process and is critical to making a fully informed decision about any proposal.

 

The Panel has sought and been granted an extension to its decision date to accommodate this.

 

The extension is four weeks after the Commission receives the Department’s further assessment. This will enable the Commission to properly consider the information, including seeking public comments and considering these in its deliberations.
