Dr Turlough Guerin

Dr Turlough Guerin is an executive, company director, agricultural chemist and Chartered Agriculturalist with more than 30 years’ experience across environmental regulation, major projects, agriculture, natural resource management and governance.
He is Chief Executive Officer of Field & Game Australia, a Commissioner of the NSW Independent Planning Commission, Chair of the NSW Rural Fire Service Benevolent Fund, and an Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne.
Previously, Turlough was Chief Executive Officer of Landcare NSW and held senior environmental and sustainability roles with the NSW Government, First Solar, Telstra, Shell, Rio Tinto and the Chevron Gorgon Project. His experience spans statutory approvals, environmental assessment and compliance, land and natural resource management, energy and major infrastructure, and organisational governance.
He has worked across government, industry and community organisations, including on both sides of the major-projects approval process. He has also served as an Expert Reviewer for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Seventh Assessment Cycle Special Report on Climate Change and Cities.
Turlough is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and Ag Institute Australia, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has authored more than 80 scientific papers and is a former Chair of Ag Institute Australia.
